- Monitor and manage the stability and performance of our global telecom network and ensure maximum uptime and high message delivery rates
- Take ownership of critical incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term preventive measures
- Lead and support lower-tier engineers during incident escalation and troubleshooting processes
- Manage advanced network configurations, routing rules, and upgrades across SMS and Voice infrastructure
- Develop, implement, and enforce network security practices to safeguard systems from unauthorized access or reaches
- Create and maintain detailed documentation for incident workflows, systems architecture, playbooks, and operational procedures
- Communicate with external vendors (e.g., MNOs, aggregators) and internal stakeholders to resolve service-affecting issues
- Analyze network data to identify anomalies, trends, or capacity issues and proactively optimize performance
- Participate in and improve the on-call rotation processes, ensuring SLAs are met with minimal downtime
- Evaluate and implement tools to enhance monitoring, alerting, and automation within the NOC
- Support training and development of NOC team members through mentorship and knowledge-sharing
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in a Network Operations role, ideally within the telecom or SaaS sectors
- Deep expertise in telecommunication protocols: SMPP, SIP, SS7, TLS, TCP/IP, VPN
- Proficient with network and traffic analysis tools: Wireshark, Trace Analyzer, TCPdump, and others
- Familiarity with SMS & Voice platforms,
- Hands-on experience with Alaris switch
- Strong incident response and problem-solving skills, with proven ability to manage escalations and high-severity issues
- Working knowledge of monitoring platforms (e.g., Zabbix, Grafana, Prometheus) and log analysis tools (e.g., ELK Stack, Graylog)
- Strong understanding of network security principles and hands-on experience enforcing security protocols
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Strong organizational skills and experience in documenting network architecture, incidents, and procedures
- Experience working in 24/7 NOC environments, including participation in on-call rotations
