Job descriptionThis Payment Solutions Company in Limassol belongs to a group of very innovative companies with excellent benefits and they are looking for a Financial Accountant / Finance Officer with experience in VAT, payroll, payment processing, monthly closing, etc. The ideal candidate will have a strong ambition to establish a long-term presence in the company and lead a dedicated team of professionals in the future. In this role you will be trained and getting the possibility to work independently.Job Duties

Financial Record Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records including ledgers, journals, and accounts payable/receivable. Record financial transactions and ensure entries are posted timely and accurately. Reconcile bank statements and accounts to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
Financial Analysis and Reporting: Preparation of monthly managements accounts including cash flow. Monitor financial performance and identify areas for improvement or cost-saving opportunities.
Audit, Tax and Compliance: Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation and support as required. Prepare and submit timely and accurate direct and indirect tax returns.
Payment Processing and Bank Communication: Processing outgoing payment and incoming bank transfer and communication with banks
Process improvement: Continuously identify opportunities for process enhancement within the finance function and contribute to the implementation of best practices
Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with other departments including operations and management to collect relevant financial information.

Job Requirements

At least 4 years of relevant accounting experience in similar position
ACCA/ACA qualified (or 1 exam left)
Experience in an audit firm is preferred
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations
Knowledge and experience on Cyprus VAT and VIES regulations.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Advantage)
Additional certification such as, LCCI, CySec (Advantage)
Proficiency in financial software, such as Netsuite and advanced Excel skills
Ability to handle multiple tasks and perform in deadline-oriented environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Critical thinker, ability to work independently
Strong organisation and time management skills

Working hours:The working hours are Monday to Thursday 8 hours flexible from 7-9am.
