Our client is an International Oil Bunker Trading Company who have been in operation for over 15 years with offices in Germany, Austria, Bulgaria, Romania and the Ukraine. They are one of the leading Oil Bunker Trading companies in Europe, working with most of Europe's leading shipping and ship management companies and they are looking for an Accountant for their offices in Limassol. The core accounting/finance team for all group companies is operated out of the Cyprus office. This role will be reporting directly to the Chief accountant based in Cyprus office and working closely with group Finance Director based in London.Responsibilities:Credit control function:

Monitor and chase overdues
Assist in collecting client information (collect client information from various subscription databases and consolidate in due diligence report)
Assist in compliance checks using group subscription databases

KYC function:

Complete client KYC forms
Send KYC documents
Receive KYC completed KYC form from client with supporting documents

Fiduciary/Documentation/payroll:

Maintain relationships with group fiduciaries
Housekeeping of group companies corporate files
Assist in incorporating new entities
Liaise with group lawyers in order to arrange certifications, notarisations, apostils, etc.
Liaise with group agents in order to coordinate local services: payrolls, taxes, any other submissions

Accounting:

Assist manager in preparing materials for daily/monthly reports
Assist with various other accounting tasks (daily reporting, vessel checks, etc.)

Requirements:

At least 1 – 2 years of experience in a similar role
A partly or full qualified Accountant (ACCA/ACA/CPA) or be qualified by experience
Experience within the shipping or trading industries is a must
Fluency in English and Greek is essential and Russian will be considered an advantage
Organized and able to pay attention to detail
Ability to work as part of a team

Working Hours:

Monday – Friday, 9am – 6pm
