GRS have partnered up with a global organisation within shipping and logistics who are currently looking to hire a Legal Advisor in Nicosia. This role would report to the Group Head of Risk and assist with the legal and compliance requirements. If you feel you have the necessary skills, please apply for this Nicosia based role.MAIN DUITES AND RESPONSIBILTIESDevelop, implement, train, and maintain global policies.Create and administer standard commercial terms and conditions for services, materials, rentals, engineering, and procurement.Provide training and guidance on compliance and legal obligations, including adherence to company policies and international regulationsCoordinate and document Board and Shareholder meetings across the Group and its subsidiaries.Maintain a compliance checklist for subsidiary documentation and ensure timely updates.Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of legal documents.Conduct legal research and provide advice on corporate and commercial matters.Liaise with external legal counsel when required.Organise the collection, storage, and retention of legal and corporate records.Handle contractual and commercial disputes, assist in settlement processes, and maintain accurate records.Collaborate cross-functionally with internal departments on legal and compliance-related initiatives.CANDIDATE PROFILEBachelor’s degree in Law (LLB); an LLM in Maritime Law or a related field is considered an advantage.At least 2 years of experience in a similar in-house legal role or within a law firm, ideally with a focus on corporate or maritime law.High level of professionalism, initiative, and conscientiousness.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Ability to manage workload and perform under pressure.Excellent communication skills in both English and Greek (written and verbal).Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively within a multicultural team environment.COMPANY BENEFITS2 days work from home.Monday to Friday.08:00/09:00 - 17:00/18:00.Due to the high volume of applications, we receive at GRS Recruitment, only shortlisted candidates will be responded to.To apply for this position, please email your CV to Laura Saltyte, quoting the above job reference or call +357 25 342 734 for further information.
