Our client is an International Oil Bunker Trading Company who have been in operation for over 15 years with offices in Germany, Austria, Bulgaria, Romania and the Ukraine. They are one of the leading Oil Bunker Trading companies in Europe, working with most of Europe's leading shipping and ship management companies and they are looking for an experienced Accountant for their offices in Limassol.Responsibilities:
  • Daily bookkeeping
  • Inventory monitoring of 2 types of cargo sold by the company
  • Filing of company documentation flows (invoices, contracts, bills of lading)
  • Preparation of consolidated IFRS accounts across 2 group companies to be sent out externally ( to insurers, banks, etc) on monthly basis
  • Monitoring and recording purchasing activity for company bunkering vessel (parts, crew equipment, etc) - all in Russian language
  • VAT submissions for CY company (company has no local transactions but submissions have to be done nevertheless)
  • Liaising with company auditors in CY to estimate and pay corporate tax in timely manner
  • Management of any cash expense reimbursement
Requirements:
  • A partly or full qualified Accountant (ACCA/ACA/CPA) or be qualified by experience
  • Experience within the shipping or trading industries is a must
  • Fluency in English and Greek is essential and Russian will be considered an advantage
