MSCA FELLOWS - POST-DOCTORAL RESEARCH POSITIONS AT THE ENVIRONMENT & CLIMATE, RESILIENT SOCIETY AND BIG EARTH DATA ANALYTICS DEPARTMENTSThe ERATOSTHENES Centre of Excellence (ECoE) ( ) of the Cyprus University of Technology ( ) invites expressions of interest from outstanding postdoctoral researchers who wish to undertake international mobility by applying for a MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowship (MSCA-PF) under the Horizon Europe programme, together with ECoE as the host institution.The ERATOSTHENES Centre of Excellence is an autonomous Centre of Excellence with Cyprus University of Technology (CUT) as its sole stakeholder, aiming to become a viable, sustainable Centre of Excellence in earth observation, space technology and geospatial analysis. CUT has a 18-year experience in earth observations and geospatial analysis. Through the “EXCELSIOR” H2020 Teaming Project (2019-2026), the ERATOSTHENES CoE aspires to become an excellent Digital Innovation Hub for Earth Observation and Geospatial Information by offering education, responsible research, open innovation and application services capable of sustaining Cyprus' development. The ERATOSTHENES CoE aspires to actively contribute to the European Research Area (ERA) priorities in Atmosphere and Climate, Resilient Societies and Big Earth Data Analytics, as well as to become the reference Earth Observation/Geoinformation Centre for research and innovation in the Eastern Mediterranean, Middle East and North Africa (EMMENA) region.Proposals elaborated with prospective MSCA Postdoctoral Fellows will be submitted under the Horizon Europe call referenced below:Programme: Horizon Europe Framework Programme (HORIZON)

Postdoctoral candidates can be of any nationality and must meet the eligibility requirements of the MSCA PF call. Selected candidates will work closely with ECoE to co-develop a strong application and will be supported by ECoE's staff throughout the submission process. IMPORTANT NOTES:
  • Supported fellows must be postdoctoral researchers at the date of the call deadline, i.e. in a possession of a doctoral degree. Applicants who have successfully defended their doctoral thesis but who have not yet formally been awarded the doctoral degree will also be considered as postdoctoral researchers and will be considered eligible to apply. The successful defence must be unconditional (no further requirements/corrections that need to be addressed) and take place before the call deadline. Supporting documentation may be requested.
  • At the call deadline, supported researchers must have a maximum of 8 years full-time equivalent experience in research, measured from the date of award of the doctoral degree. Years of experience outside research and career breaks (e.g. due to parental leave), will not count towards the amount of research experience. For nationals or long-term residents of EU Member States or Horizon Europe Associated Countries who wish to reintegrate to pursue their research career in EU Member States or Horizon Europe Associated Countries, years of experience in research in third countries will not be considered in the above maximum.
