REQ13136 Audit Assistant, Compliance and Control (Open)POSITION SUMMARY:The Audit Assistant, Compliance and Control participates in daily audits of gaming and non-gaming activity, the preparation of management and regulatory reports, and preparation of journal entriesPRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assists the department of Compliance and Control in the daily collection of gaming and non-gaming audit documents and reports
Performs audits of gaming/non-gaming activity, in accordance with gaming/non-gaming audit standard operating procedures for one or more of the following areas as assigned by the supervisor:
- Intercompany casino transactions and other areas as required * Prepares the daily journal entries to record revenues and expenses along with any balance sheet entries
Prepares monthly balance sheet reconciliation of general ledger to corresponding source systems
Assists in the preparation of daily reports for submission to government regulators, external parties, internal parties, and senior management team

QUALIFICATIONS:Education
Appropriate tertiary qualifications, majoring in Finance/Accounting, administration/hospitality, statistics, business administration or mathematics preferred
Experience
Up to two years of experience in a corporate environment will be considered as an advantage
Audit experience in hotels preferred
Experience with a computerized system
Skills / Competencies
Advanced knowledge of computer applications, including Microsoft Office
Knowledge of Hotel System Opera and Infrasys Point of Sale is an advantage
Anticipates and assesses issues, risks, or opportunities facing the Company and applies effective, creative solutions or new approaches and practices
