In a nutshell, MUFG Investor Services is part of the Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group, and we partner with over 480 loyal global investment firms to provide them with administration, asset services, banking and fund financing.We’re in 14 global locations and provide an exceptional hub of Brilliantly Different talent to thrive.#LI-HybridJob DescriptionAs the Client Data Operations lead this person will create a new team with the mandate to streamline the process to capture, maintain and offboard our clients, funds, and investors, and be responsible for the quality and integrity of the core business data sets across the organisation’s operational platforms. The team shall be responsible for the management of the client, fund, and investor data throughout its lifecycle (onboarding to offboarding), ensuring accuracy, integrity, standardisation, and accessibility of crucial data sets to support the wider business functions in servicing both client and internal needs.

Streamline our current onboarding process, onboard new clients onto all systems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, gather, and validate core data sets from various sources and systems.
Perform thorough data analysis to identify anomalies and discrepancies and prepare data quality assessments.
Work with business partners and subject-matter experts (SMEs) to perform root cause analysis and business impact analysis on data misalignments and inconsistencies.
Documenting data quality issues for tracking and implementation of the corrective actions for their resolution, such as building out new or improved data feeds.
Develop and implement processes, procedures, and controls to create, correct and maintain accurate and reliable data within the operational platforms further downstream systems.
Develop and implement processes, procedures, and controls to offboard client, investor and fund data as per data regulations.
Create and maintain documentation outlining data processes, procedures, and guidelines for the given data set.
Collaborate with our IT partners and project teams to assist in the continued design and addition of data to the core business data sets and optimise data workflows.
Support operational teams on day-to-day data workflow issues.
Ensure Client Data Operations team are utilizing technology in the most efficient way to capture and process data sets.
Identify inefficiencies and gaps in processes and remediate by working with product and IT on optimal data solutions to capture accurate data sets.
Identify and automate the capture of new data sets, understand downstream impacts and aim to reduce the inefficiencies caused by incomplete/ inaccurate data sets.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business Administration, Computer Science or related field.
Ideally someone with experience with large scale financial services data transformation and implementation of data strategy in the Fund Administration or Asset Management industry.
This role will be in a highly technical area and requires strong people management skills to navigate/garner support and consensus around transformation.
Excellent MS Office skills and data visualization software such as PowerBI.
Embrace new technologies to identify new solutions and inefficient processes.
Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to innovate and drive process improvements.
Strong organizational skills with ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
