- Prepare, review, and analyze monthly management accounts.
- Liaise with outsourced bookkeeping providers to ensure timely and accurate data.
- Monitor financial performance, highlight variances, and assist with forecasting.
- Raise, issue, and track sales invoices.
- Monitor accounts receivable, follow up on outstanding invoices, and support credit control.
- Ensure accurate client billing in line with contract terms.
- Assist in producing monthly and quarterly financial reports for management.
- Support with bank reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, and journal entries in collaboration with outsourced accountants.
- Assist in the preparation of financial data for annual audits.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure alignment of financial data.
- Act as a point of contact for financial queries from management and external providers.
- Recommend improvements to financial processes and reporting systems.
- Support implementation of new financial tools or systems, as needed.
- Proven experience in a finance or accounting role
- Strong understanding of management accounts and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage) and Excel.
- Ability to work collaboratively with external accounting providers.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Part-qualified or qualified accountant (AAT / ACCA / CIMA) is desirable.
- Experience working in a company with outsourced bookkeeping or finance functions.
