- Overall responsibility of the International MICE & Group Sales Segment of the hotel, including Corporate Companies, Event Planners, Tour Operators, Travel Agents, and local DMC’s.
- Attends internal Meetings and Conference Calls, Client Appointments and Client Events in Cyprus and abroad as appropriate.
- Responsible for key account management on an assigned base or geographic area, ensuring revenue maximization, achievement of personal targets and increase fair market share versus competitor set.
- Prospects new accounts both in key markets and potential new markets.
- Develops and maintains positive client relationship with existing and new potential clients.
- Seeks out partnerships and joint marketing activities with partners to drive awareness of the property along with increased production and results.
- Conducts site inspections, training seminars and education hotel related webinars.
- Follows up of potential & tentative bookings in the assigned market with the clients.
- Responsible for timely contracting along with negotiating Wholesales Contracts not limited to allotments, terms, and conditions.
- Uses SMART contracting to ensure optimum yielding during annual rate negotiations.
- Attends local and international trade shows, sales blitz, workshops, in the assigned markets.
- Executes sales actions within set cost budget structure, not limited to promotional offers, client’s partnership, sponsorships, and fam trips.
- Cross Sells other areas of the hotel at any opportunity, creating packages for other elements in the property.
- Aims to achieve the Company Sales Vision with set KPI’s.
- Documents all sales actions in the Delphi system and back up in company share drive.
- Understands and strictly adheres to the Rules & Regulations established in the Employees Handbook and the Hotel’s policy on Fire, Hygiene, Health & Safety.
- Produces regular and ad - hoc reports related to account development.
- At least 2-4 years of relevant work experience
- Proven track record in a sales environment (hotels or tourism industry)
- Detailed knowledge of competitor set.
- Proven track record of MICE & Group Sales
- Candidates must hold a degree from a major, accredited institution in the fields of hospitality, gaming, statistics, marketing, finance, business administration or mathematics.
- Post graduate degree will be preferred.
- Mature presentation style and be comfortable interacting with senior management continuously.
- Excellent command of English, Arabic and other languages will be considered as an advantage.
- Extensive knowledge of all services provided by the Hotel and all relevant facts and figures of hotel.
- Expert proficiency in MS Excel and strong skills in PowerPoint.
- Must have technical skills in PMS, Delphi systems and software.
- Strong project management skills are a must.
- Strong interpersonal, leadership and communications skills and an aptitude for very high pressure on the spot decisions.
- Ability to keep up with a fast paced and growing business.
