In this key leadership role, you will oversee financial operations, ensuring accuracy in reporting, regulatory compliance, and strategic financial planning. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a passion for driving financial excellence, we’d love to hear from you!As a Financial Controller, your tasks will include the following:

Oversee accounting operations, including billing, A/R, A/P, G/L, cost accounting, and revenue recognition.
Ensure quality control over financial transactions and reporting.
Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.
Support the month-end and year-end close process.
Prepare and coordinate statutory reporting.
Maintain and enhance business processes, internal controls, and accounting policies.
Liaise with external auditors and address any financial discrepancies.
Perform additional financial management responsibilities as needed.

What we look for:

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business Administration or related field; postgraduate degree in Finance is desirable.
3+ years of proven working experience as a Financial Controller.
Fully qualified accountant ACA / ACCCA.
Excellent knowledge of English (C2 level certification desired,

or certificate would be a plus) Extra languages desired. * Familiarity with ERP systems (preferably Microsoft Navision and D365 F&O).

Excellent accounting software user, Microsoft Excel and administration skills.
Advanced computer literacy is required. ECDL Advance level certification is desirable.
Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
Experience with creating financial statements.
Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process.
Well organized, self-driven, flexible and able to work in a high-volume, fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.

A basic or enhanced Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) check

Right to Work in the UK check (including nationality, identity and place of residence)

HO security check (Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) or Counter Terrorist Check (CTC)

Financial background check

Employment reference check.

If working on the SELT service anywhere in the world (outside of the UK) personnel will undergo background checks that are equivalent to those stated for the UK.

In addition, if personnel are required to speak to SELT candidates they must be appropriately skilled in English language and, where SELT services are provided anywhere in the world (outside of the UK), the official language of the relevant country.All applications will be treated with strict confidentiality.
